Dear students, geography is an extraordinary subject. It acts as a bridge between natural and social sciences. The scope of the subject is so diverse that one can explore the topics ranging from social, political, economic and cultural origin to those dealing with the laws of physical, chemical and biological sciences. Such kind of diversity is rarely found in any other subject and therefore I believe that geography could prove to be an interesting subject to a wide range of students both all the backgrounds. The department of geography is a well established one and the period of its glory has already begun with the shifting of the department in the earth science block. I welcome you to the department of geography where the dedicated faculty is always ready to realise your dreams.
