Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics at MLSM College Darbhanga has been an important part of the institution since its beginning. Our department is dedicated to providing quality education and creating a strong foundation in mathematics for students. Along with teaching, we also encourage research and academic growth.
At present, the department offers B.Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics and Ph.D. in Mathematics. Many of our students have gone on to work in leading academic institutions, research organizations, and industries.
We are planning to expand further by introducing M.Sc. Mathematics and other professional courses in the near future. These new programmes will help students gain advanced knowledge and prepare them for careers in academics, research, and industry.
Our vision is to build a supportive environment where students can learn, explore, and succeed in mathematics.

Short Message from HOD:
Welcome to the Department of Mathematics. Our focus is on excellence in teaching, research and innovation.
Message from the Head of Department
Since taking the responsibility as Head of the Department, I have always tried to bring the applications of mathematics closer to our students. My aim is not only to teach the subject but also to show how mathematics can be used in real life and in different fields of study.
In the near future, we plan to organize mathematics‑related events, workshops, and conferences. We also intend to introduce short‑term and skill‑enhancement courses that will help students improve their knowledge and prepare for professional opportunities.
Our commitment is to provide the best possible education to our students, so they can grow academically and succeed in their careers.
